Liquid destroys skins natural oils in respiratory tract. In substanitial concentration can impair consciousness. Repeated or prolonged exposure can cause conjunctival irritation and corneal clouding. 2.3 First Aid
Swallowed
If swallowed do not induce vomiting. Give a glass of water and transport to hospital. If victim is unconscious or convulsing, keep victim warm, and transport to hospital or doctor.
Eye
Flood eyes with clean water for 15 minutes - retract eyelids often Seek medical treatment immediately.
Skin
Remove all contaminated clothing including footwear. Wash affected areas thoroughly with mild soap and water. Seek medical attention if irritation develops after washing.
Inhaled
Remove from contaminated area immediately; avoid becoming casualty. If NOT breathing apply artificial resuscitation. Experienced person may administer oxygen if breathing if diffulcult. Keep warm. Immediately transport to a hospital or doctor.

High concentrations have a narcotic effect and can cuase congestion of the liver and kidneys. Chronic poisoning has been described as producing secondary anemia, leucocyosis and cloudy swelling, and fatty degeneration of the viscera. LD50 (animal tested, route of intake): 5620 mg/kg.
