Spills
Clean up personnel should wear full protective clothing including breathing apparatus. Avoid raising dust.
Sweep up material, place into suitable containers and hold for waste disposal. Wash spill site with copious amounts of water after initial pickup is complete.
Disposal
For small quantities - catiously add to a large stirred excess of water. Adjust pH to neutral, separate and insoluble solids or liquids and pakcage them for hazardous waste disposal. Flush the aqueous solution down the drain with plenty of water. The hydrolysis and neutralisation reactions may generate heat and fumes which can be controlled by the rate of addition. Observe all local, state, and federal regulations.
4.4 FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD Fire / Explosion
Material will not burn or explode. Stable under normal temperatures and pressures. Incompatible with strong oxidants. Hazardous decomposition products include phosphine, oxides of phosphorus, irritating and toxic fumes and gases. Hazardous polymerisation has not been reported.
Extinguishing Media
Fire-fighters should wear full protective clothing including self-contained breathing apparatus. Use equipment/extinguishing media appropriate to surrounding fire conditions. 5 OTHER INFORMATION
